Always on the Hunt

Always on the hunt for what you ask? I never know, but I’m always looking. After an early morning of garages sales this past Saturday, not having much luck, we all headed home. Fortunately, I decided to go back out to pick up some lunch for the family. Along the way there happened to be a garage sale. Being that it was around lunch time, I figured not much would be left but that never stops me.

Old Ironing Board

I was delighted to snag this 1925 ironing board with the original instructions sheet on the underside. The instructions read “How to use the Slama Adjustible Ironing Table,” with detailed instructions and illustrations. Having a patent date of 1925, the ironing board was manufactured by Racine Trunk Company, Racine, Wisconsin.

It’s going to look amazing in my sister’s laundry room. It will fit in perfect with her rustic old irons and wash boards. She is super thrilled! The five dollar ironing board was a great way to end my day of garage sales. Well, not exactly the end, I did help Austin transport a new, vintage buffet.
