Christmas Ornament Hoarding

Now that I have a seven foot aluminum tree, I need some ornaments to put on it. Hope you’re not tired of some Christmas eye candy.

The other weekend when Tammy and I went to the local flea market I started my collection. It’s a little out of hand already considering I just started. How fitting to find my first few ornaments at my all-time favorite vendor at the flea market.

I’ve decided to limit myself to shades and tints of blue and red. At least for awhile. There’s just such a selection to choose from and I get a little overwhelmed with all the possibilities.

Shiny Brite OrnamentsThere were boxes of ornaments at one vendor’s stand and I’m happy to have purchased this one. Wait until you see the crazy ornaments that were inside!

Ornaments DetailCrocheted shiny brites! Granted, the crocheted part is probably an add-on and I’m sure a little too granny for most. The pink feathered ones are amazing.

Ornament BoxThis box of ornaments has the cutest mid century illustration on it. The pattern goes all the way around.

OrnamentsWhile these are newer compared to the rest, they’ll fit in quite nicely with the rest of the collection.

Blue OrnamentsLooks like I’ll be needing to do a little box repair like in Austin’s tutorial awhile back. Check it out if you have a few boxes that are a little worse for wear like mine.

OrnamentsSee? In just one weekend it’s getting a little out of hand.

OrnamentsThese were purchased at the same store as my aluminum tree. She still was unpacking several boxes and I might have to go back there in a few days to see what else they’ve uncovered. How about you guys? Do any of you have hoards of ornaments?

Wow! Looks like you really got lucky. I’ve never seen those feather type ones, how beautiful. And how cute is that snow capped crochet one! And all yours look like they are in excellent shape. I too love hoarding ornaments. I just wish there was a way to clean and bring back that sparkle to them.
