This weekend my sister, dad and I went to a bunch of garage sales with high hopes. I wasn’t having much luck until my sister spotted some Roseville pottery and just about dropped the toys she had picked up for her boys to get over to them. I heard her say, “Tammy come here!” Just check out what she had found for me.
As long as I have been going to garage sales it still shocks me when pottery like this shows up! You just never know what you might find.
This one is the Freesia pattern and marked “Roseville U.S.A. 1392-8.” It was introduced in 1945 in brown, blue and green. I have another piece in this pattern but it lacks the touch of purple this planter has.
Next is a small blue vase in the Bushberry pattern. This pattern started production in 1941 and can also be found with green and orange background colors.
I still can’t believe that it is possible to find Roseville at garages sales, but it can be done! If you can believe it, I even left a piece of Weller behind for someone else to find.
