For my first post I’m sharing a trio of brightly colored vintage bowling pins. I love their crackled finish, full of nicks and gro0ves from all the years of being battered around the bowling lanes. I snagged them up about a year ago, when an old local bowling alley was having a going out of business sale. These bowling pins had been uncovered while they cleaned out the back storage rooms and were just waiting for me! Of course, I had to ask questions about them, including when they where used. I was told the late 1970’s. Can’t you just image how fun it would have been throwing a bowling ball at these bright horizontal strips? They are now a unique and unexpected decoration in our family room.

I myself love to visit garage sales! I love wondering what wonderful mysteries and treasures await a new family. I don’t seem to be quite as lucky as you guys though…. I absolutely love these bowling pins and if you ever find a new treasure that needs space I know that I could help you out and take these off your hands 🙂 Happy hunting!
