My love—aka crazy addiction—for Pyrex started almost exactly two years ago. I found my first complete set at Goodwill and have had the fever ever since. I have many of my holiday-themed Pyrex filled with brightly colored vintage ornaments. Within the week I should be able to hang them on an aluminum Christmas tree that my father found for me for Christmas this year. So excited! For now my Christmas Pyrex casseroles will do. This one is marked 045 2 ½ qt. It is a Cinderella Oval Casserole known as the “Snowflake” pattern, circa 1957. The design is white snowflakes on a black background. The black color is known as “charcoal.” Colored Pyrex almost always has a shine to it, but this black Pyrex has a matte finish. I do have a secret—I hide newly found vintage ornaments in my displayed Pyrex year-round.
