Private Stash: Vintage Candy Tin

Could you image chocolates in a candy tin as amazing as this?

This is a vintage Whitman’s Salmagundi 2 lb candy tin circa 1920s. The top of the tin has a wonderful profile of an Art Nouveau lady. It was a fun find for me since it is by Alphonse Mucha, the artist whose artwork is at the top of my want list.

So pretty!

It will work great as my jewelry box. I snagged this candy tin at an antique mall. I finally paid $12 for it after I carried it around the store and just couldn’t get myself to leave it behind. Now to find some framed work by Alphonse Mucha.

Great details.

It is beautiful! I love the way they created the image to look like a mosaic. Great find!
