Small Town Sales

The past two months I’ve woken up early about every Saturday to attend a citywide garage sale. This last Saturday I drove only 10 minutes from my house to one of the smallest towns so far this year. I didn’t find much but the 3 items I did bring home I’m very happy with.

First up is this antique industrial cart. I’m not sure exactly what I will be doing with it. Maybe clean it up and bring it inside or fill it with flowers outside. Either way it needs a new box or platform built for its top.

Next I found a pair of crazy cute wooden frames. I will be replacing the pictures with better ones, but for now these are hanging on my wall just like they are and slowly growing on me. I really, really like these frames! The pair cost me only $1.00.

My last find was also only $1.00 and probably my favorite. It’s a 10 inch Standard Globe made by Replogle Globes in Chicago, Ill. With a little research, I was able to date this globe to 1939.
