Some Pottery Luck

I have been on a roll finding pottery at garage sales. The pops of color pottery gives when sat out around a room or grouped together seems to keep me wanting more. Here are some of the pieces I found last week while out at garage sales.

This first one is an unmarked flower vase for $2.00. It has a larger and smaller hole in the top giving you some added decisions to make while arranging your flowers. How fun! pottery This gorgeous Franciscan coffee pot in the Madeira pattern set me back $9.00. It’s in wonderful condition. potteryNext is also unmarked and from a distance I thought it was an ashtray, but as I got closer I discovered it was a tiny flowerpot. It cost me $0.25! I can’t wait to find a flower to plant in it. Any suggestions? It’s pretty small but the plant will need to be somewhat tall. A cactus, maybe? pottery Then there was my non-pottery find, but I got just as excited when I found it. This push shackle padlock was in the bottom of a box filled with lots of miscellaneous things that had been picked up at an auction by the people having the garage sale. I’m so glad I dug and once I found this I did some extra digging for the key but never found it. lock This paddle lock was used by the Western Union Telegraph Company and is marked on the back. I have a few other old locks but this one is by far my favorite. lockLet us know if you had any fun finds this week. We would love to hear from you.

For the tiny flower pot, an aloe vera plant would be super cute!
