Hello and it is so nice to share with you all again! This picture is a hint as to what I’ve been up to…
Back when we moved in 2013, there was a lot of stuff. Collections, nonsense, baby things. It was all so much packing and then unpacking, and sometimes not unpacking. Two years later there are still boxes left untouched. About three months ago I heard about a book that apparently “has changed people’s entire lives.” Uh huh. Sure.
It’s called The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing by Marie Kondo. And…it has kind of completely changed my life. I’m in complete decluttering mode and am getting rid of so much. It’s kind of liberating and kind of hard at first to let go. Check it out if you are feeling a little suffocated by all the stuff. Am I going to be a minimalist? I wish. But then again I don’t wish because I love globes, scarves, birds, etc.
What does this mean? I’m keeping hardly anything. Only the things that bring me joy. So in the past four months, the only thing I have brought in to my home is a box of shiny-brite ornaments and this:
This tea towel is far to0 jolly to pass up.
How about you? Have you read the book or started decluttering?
