Lately I’ve been hitting up Goodwill pretty hardcore. My son has become increasingly defiant when it comes to garage sales. Even if I say, “but there might be toys!” he rolls his eyes. Luckily, Goodwill here closes at nine and I can sneak out when everyone is in bed.
We live on an acre lot with lots of trees and have become avid bird watchers. Any other thirty-somethings out there share our super hip hobby? We’ve seen our share of cardinals and bluebirds this year and there is something cute about these wall plaques. They’re plaster and heavy.
And if bird plaques aren’t enough now I can have a divided tray with a bird on it. Classy.
I’m sure they still make coat racks like this today, but this is from 1970 and I couldn’t pass it up for $1.99.
When I was in Goodwill I called Tammy and was telling her I never find full sets of dishes. There is usually one dinner plate, thirteen bowls and five salad plates. Then I turned around the corner and found a complete service of four in this fun pattern. This set is by Jamestown China and is ironstone. I couldn’t find a pattern name or any other examples, so any guesses?

An intact set of dishes…that’s impressive! I believe the pattern is “Honeycomb”.
Can you believe it?! That hardly ever happens to me. Wow, your pattern knowledge is crazy. Thank you for the additional info!
