Weekend Finds: Lights and Bookcases…in pairs!

You know those weekends when you find so much amazing stuff you just need to share with someone? Here goes.

While looking at Craigslist I found a couple bookcases that looked promising. I emailed them right away and was first in line of about five people. Then, I convinced my mother-in-law to watch our son while my husband and I borrowed their van to pick up the bookcases an hour away. Good thing. They’re perfect and will work way better than the giant towering bookcase we have in our nursery.

BookcasesThere are two of these, and while one may be slightly more sun-bleached than the other they will be separated in the nursery by a daybed. Yes, recently we picked up a daybed/trundle combo as well. Things are coming together!

While searching Craigslist  for how to price our 1990s ceiling fans (free, you say?), I came across some vintage lights thrown in to an ad ripe with ceiling fans. I called and made an appointment that day to come look at them. And buy them. And run triumphantly to the van with four amazing fixtures.

Pendant LightYes. Two pendant lights just like this. I’m only sure where one is going to go and I couldn’t leave the other one.

LightsPlus two of these bad boys. There’s a couple locations where these could go so I’m still thinking about the best place.

For all of these finds (two bookcases, two pairs of light fixtures) I only spent $120. I keep thinking to myself what would one new bookcase cost that has a similar feel? Way more.

Thanks Susie! I can’t wait for the bookcases to go into the room.
