This weekend I headed over to a thrift shop in our new city, as well as the local ReStore. Let’s say I walked out of both empty handed. I’m missing all of our regular haunts. But Saturday night I was mindlessly browsing Pinterest when I spotted this picture from one of my favorite vintage pinners:
My goodness. I’ve never heard of these blankets before and they are so beautiful. With patterns originating in Wales, these are 100% wool. There are of course vintage blankets, but these are still being produced today.
The patterns are so striking and bold. Plus, the blankets are reversible for a slightly different take on the pattern.
I am definitely going to be looking for something like these. While I do come across blankets sometimes, they’re normally not this heavily patterned. I do have a small blanket that kind of looks like these and is wool, but it was made in Seattle.
Still pretty neat. How about you guys? Have you heard of these? Do you have one yourself?
