During our 2 week winter break I didn’t get out as much as I would have liked. If I did I was usually dragging along my kids who would rather be home playing video games. This last week, although painfully cold, I did venture out and found a few things.
I found these 3 vintage ornaments at different consignment/antique stores. The red berry ornament is the oldest. It is super fragile. I was happy to spend the $0.25 for it. The aqua ornament is my favorite, it was the most expensive at $1.50. I still get very exited when I find vintage ornaments. There is just so many variations.
This pixie planter I just found at a consignment shop. The pixie has found a place to take a rest on the petals of a flower. It is stamped “Made in Japan” on the bottom.
The last item I’m sharing was actually a Christmas present from my mother. It came in its original box, which is crazy cute.
Can you imagine my excitement when I opened the box and found all these aluminium sticks and covered in tiny colored mercury glass beads. Love it! It is missing the brackets to make the circular decoration. So my plans are to use them as picks in my holiday arrangements.
Let us know what fun finds you have been finding.

What great finds! Vintage ornaments in thrift stores (at least in my area) seem so hard to come by nowadays.
I went to an estate sale over the weekend and found a few great things. And one thing that I went home and thought about and then it was gone when I went back arrrgggh!! It was a beautiful mid modern sewing desk with the machine. It had accessories and even the bill of sale, and it was cheap!! This is the second time I missed out on something great because of my indecision. Im still grieving, hopefully Ill learn my lesson this time.
Susie, I have been in the same situation many times! It always STINKS when you miss out on something you had your hands on but left behind. Maybe the next sale will have your vintage sewing machine? I’m crossing my fingers. What a bummer!
